Chapter 13: The Arrival of Interstellar

As the Celestial Voyager drifted through the endless void of space, its engines humming a soft celestial tune, the adventurers remained unaware of the danger lurking among them. The Imposter watched and waited, concealed behind a human guise, its mission to sabotage their quest and eliminate them one by one. But fate had other plans.

AURA’s voice crackled through the ship’s intercom. “Unidentified vessel approaching. Scanning for threats.”

The Wizard, deep in study, lifted his head. “An unknown ship?”

The Hero placed a hand on his sword’s hilt, though it was of little use in the vacuum of space. “Hostile?”

AURA hesitated. “Negative. No detected weapons lock. However, its trajectory suggests intent to intercept.”

The Vixen stepped to the viewing panel. Outside, against the backdrop of swirling nebulas and glittering constellations, a sleek black-and-gold vessel approached. Its hull bore the insignia of an intergalactic fleet, yet its shape was unlike any standard military cruiser. It was built for speed, precision—this was no ordinary ship. This was a hunter.

A moment later, the intercom flared again, this time with a direct message. A voice, smooth and confident, echoed through the bridge. “Celestial Voyager, this is Captain Interstellar. I request permission to dock. We have a common enemy.”

The Wizard’s brow furrowed. “Captain Interstellar? I’ve heard that name in whispers—legend speaks of a rogue captain, a tactician without an army, a guardian of the unknown.”

The ship’s docking bay hissed open, and the adventurers stood ready as the airlock cycled. The doors slid apart, revealing a tall, striking figure clad in a long navy-blue coat adorned with silver stars. A sleek visor obscured their eyes, a high-tech enhancement designed for deep-space combat. A holstered plasma pistol rested at their hip, and a confidence radiated from their every movement.

Interstellar removed the visor, revealing piercing gray eyes that carried the weight of countless battles. “You have no idea what you’ve stumbled into.”

The Hero crossed his arms. “We’re searching for the rarest elements in the galaxy—ingredients for a beard care formula unlike any other.”

Interstellar smirked. “And The Imposter will make sure you never get them. It’s already among you.”

Silence fell over the crew.

The Vixen’s fingers hovered near her dagger. “You know about The Imposter?”

Interstellar stepped forward, eyes scanning each of them. “I’ve been hunting this creature across the stars. It’s a master of deception. It doesn’t just mimic—it infiltrates, turns allies against each other. It waits for the perfect moment to strike.”

The Wizard tightened his grip on his staff. “Then we must root it out before it’s too late.”

Interstellar nodded. “I’ll help you, but we must act fast. The longer it remains hidden, the greater the chance it will succeed in its mission—whatever that may be.”

The Celestial Voyager trembled as it passed through a field of distant asteroids, and the distant hum of engines reminded them that their quest had now turned into something far greater. This was no longer just a mission for beard care ingredients. It was a battle for survival.

As the adventurers exchanged wary glances, The Imposter, hiding in plain sight, smiled to itself. The game had just begun.
