The air grew heavier as Mr. Valentine shuffled his glowing cards, the faint hum of magic filling the space between the heroes. Just as the first card was about to be drawn, a sudden gust of wind swept through the land, scattering rose petals and stirring the crystalline trees. From the sky descended a radiant figure, his enormous white wings glinting in the twilight.

“Hold,” came a booming voice, rich and commanding.

The figure landed with grace and authority, his feet touching the ground as if to claim the space itself. He was a striking sight—a muscular man with a fiery red beard and a golden bow slung across his chest. Arrows tipped with shimmering energy rested in the quiver at his back. His armor gleamed like molten gold, and his piercing eyes radiated both warmth and intensity.

Mr. Valentine’s sly grin faltered as he regarded the newcomer. “Cupid. To what do I owe the honor?”

The radiant figure’s expression was stern. “You know well, Valentine, that the games you play are not without consequence. These heroes seek answers, not traps.”

Cupid turned to the group, his gaze softening. “I am Cupid, protector of love’s purity and guardian of its trials. Your hearts must remain strong if you wish to prevail here. I will aid you in this endeavor.”

The Vixen tilted her head, her curiosity evident. “And why would you help us?”

Cupid smiled faintly. “Because the Land of Lost Hearts is not just a place of trials; it is a reflection of all who walk within it. Without courage and unity, even love itself can wither. My arrows will guide your hearts to the truth.”

The Hero stepped forward, his sword still drawn. “Then we’ll gladly accept your help, Cupid. Together, we’ll face whatever lies ahead.”

Cupid nodded, his wings unfolding as he prepared to join their journey. But Mr. Valentine’s sly grin returned as he spread his arms wide. “Very well. Let the game begin. With Cupid by your side, perhaps this will be more... entertaining.”

The crystalline trees shimmered ominously, and the path ahead seemed to shift and twist. With Cupid’s golden presence now among them, the heroes prepared to delve deeper into the Land of Lost Hearts, where their courage, loyalty, and the strength of their bonds would be tested like never before.
