Prelude: The Warning
The WizardPrelude: The Warning
The land of Boron had survived the end of the world.
Its endless highways stretched across a forgotten wasteland where rusted relics of the old age stood frozen in time. Those who called it home knew one rule above all else...
Trust no one.
Few understood that better than The Highway Hunter.
For years he had roamed the shattered roads alone, scavenging forgotten places, outrunning raiders, and surviving dangers that would claim lesser men. Nothing surprised him anymore.
Until the day he met...
The Stranger.
He appeared without warning.
No camp.
No vehicle.
No footprints leading to him.
Only a lone figure standing in the middle of an abandoned highway as though he had been waiting.
There was something unsettling about him.
He spoke calmly.
Too calmly.
As if every word had already been written long before they met.
He spoke of the Lost Isles.
Of forgotten kingdoms.
Of powers sleeping beneath worlds thought forever separated.
He spoke of change...
Not as a possibility.
But as a certainty.
Then came the words The Highway Hunter could not shake.
"They've grown comfortable believing the stories have ended."
The Stranger smiled.
"They're about to remember they haven't."
There was no rage in his voice.
No excitement.
Only quiet satisfaction.
As though chaos was simply another chapter waiting to be written.
Before The Highway Hunter could ask another question...
The Stranger was gone.
Not fleeing.
Not hiding.
Simply...
Gone.
The silence that followed was somehow worse.
For the first time in years, The Highway Hunter felt something deeper than fear.
He felt urgency.
Whatever game The Stranger was playing...
Whatever plan had already been set into motion...
Someone needed to know.
There was only one person in all the Lost Isles who might understand what was coming.
The Wizard.
Without hesitation, The Highway Hunter fired his engine to life.
The machine thundered across Boron's broken highways, kicking dust into the blood-red sky as he raced toward the ancient tower.
He didn't know who The Stranger truly was.
He didn't know what he wanted.
But deep in his soul...
He knew one thing.
If he reached The Wizard too late...
Every Lost Isle would pay the price.
The story has begun
