    It’s not really unscented. The initial smell to this is kind of concerning but it smooths out and works okay.

    Fantastic product

    Love the barkeep line! My favorite products by far. Easy to work into the beard, slight natural notes from the butters and has helped reduce breakage and dryness. Best part is not clashing smells with my cologne or hair products but still getting the nourishment.

    Pasty and Dry

    It is sent free, and it does soften my beard, but it is very dry and crumbly. So unlike Fables other butters (I have 7) that are creamy and melt easily when rubbed in my hands and beard, the Barkeep does not. It was very dry and crumbly when trying to use it and just didn’t “melt” into my beard. I did try to melt it in a pot of hot water, thinking that it had separated in transit and just needed to be mixed. Well that didn’t help and ended up adding some drops of olive oil to help it out but it’s still crumbly.
    FYI the plastic container doesn’t hold up to high temps, don’t ask how I know. 😜 I give it 2 stars because it doesn’t smell as advertised and it does keep my beard soft when I get it to work properly.

    Barkeep is a good unscented option when don’t want to mix different oils and butters. It does have a slightly smell just from the butters in it but it disappears pretty quickly. It does mute the scents of the oil a bit but nothing bad.

    Great product - No Scent

    This is a a great product, intended to go with any scent oil. I think it works great for that purpose. It doesn't change the scent of the oil, and still allows the use of the butter on the beard.
